Happy 233rd birthday America! We wish you many more! Family Night was so patriotic with books like You’re a Grand Old Flag by George M. Cohen and Pippa at the Parade by Karen Roosa!

Toddler Time for the Week of June 29th
Hip, hip hooray for the U.S.A.! We celebrated our country’s birthday this week by reading WOW! America! by Robert Neubecker. This book contains awesome landmarks and symbols of America. After that, we counted some firecrackers, we pretended to march in a parade, sang Happy Birthday America, and created some patriotic hats that we can wear this weekend!
See you next week, and have a safe and fun 4th of July!

Preschool Storytime Week of June 29th
Happy Birthday America!
We enjoyed books having to do with the 4th of July during storytime. Books included:
Hats Off for the 4th of July by Harriet Ziefert
You're A Grand Old Flag by George M. Cohan
Wow! America! by Robert Neubecker
Songs we sang today included the book You're A Grand Old Flag, 5 little Firecrackers, and We are Marching, Marching, Marching and In the Summer It is Hot.
5 little firecrackers standing in a row
1 gets lit and off it goes
It zips up high with a zoom, zoom, zoom
Here it goes with a boom, boom, boom
(then 4, then 3, then 2, then 1 firecracker)
